Bangkok Jam Gives Back

ABLE’s first charity event with Bangkok Jam (CreativEATeries) is raising awareness of and funds for ABLE. For any selected items ordered S$1 donated will be matched dollar-for-dollar.

ABLE Charity Dinner 2016

4 November 2016

Imperial Treasure has partnered ABLE in the Charity Dinner for a third year in support of fund raising for ABLE’s beneficiaries, programmes and services. Guests’ were delighted with the specially designed Chinese Menu at Imperial Treasure Restaurant Grand Ballroom. From the dinner, donations, silent auction, and open auction where guests bidding generously in the name of charity, the fund raising target was met. On behalf of our beneficiaries, THANK YOU for all the donations and support for the charity dinner.

Little Island Brewing Co Charity Drive

October 2016

Little Island Brewing Co is raising awareness of, and funds for ABLE with the Oyster October Charity Drive in this 1st year collaboration. For every order of Oyster and Drink, 10% will be donated to ABLE.

Toast Box Sprouting Kits

22 September 2016 to 31 January 2017

Toast Box has been ABLE’s staunch community partner for the last six years. This year, together with Toast Box’s staff-volunteers, ABLE staff and beneficiaries packed and assembled the sprouting kits –a portable size cup that comes with soil compost processed from Toast Box recycled coffee grounds, together with seeds for growing the sprouts. 100% of sale proceeds from sprouting kits will be donated to ABLE.

Uma Uma

ABLE’s first charity event for the year was made possible by Uma Uma Ramen, who donated $2.00 from every bowl of ramen sold and $1.00 for every Asahi Beer sold to its customers. This is the fourth year Uma Uma Ramen is partnering ABLE for e fund-raising event.

Toast Box Charity Drive

23 November 2015 to 31 December 2015

Toast Box, has been ABLE’s staunch community partner for the past 4 years. In the charity drive in November/December 2015, for every featured set meal or Christmas Edition Kopi Card purchased, 50 cents was donated to ABLE. In addition, Toast Box placed ABLE brochures in all their outlets to create greater public awareness of ABLE.

Over 200 guests attended the ABLE Charity Dinner at Imperial Treasure Restaurant, Chinese Swimming Club Ballroom. Imperial Treasure has partnered ABLE in the Charity Dinner a second year.

Jade Palace Seafood Restaurant Charity Dinner

Over 40 guests at the Charity Dinner were hosted to an exclusive menu and premium wines from the restaurant. They in turn gave generous donations and pledges. This is the first year Jade Palace has partnered ABLE for the Charity Dinner.

ToastBox Fund-Raising Campaign

ToastBox, who has been ABLE’s staunch community partner for the past 3 years, once again collaborated with ABLE to hold a fund-raising and awareness campaign from 15 Sep to 26 October 2014. For every toast or set meal purchased, 30 cents will be donated to ABLE. In addition, ToastBox placed brochures in all their outlets to create greater public awareness for ABLE.

Mr Alfred Leung of Imperial Treasure, who specializes in fine Chinese cuisine, played host to 230 guests at the Chinese Swimming Club Ballroom. The event saw many guests generously pledging donations through auctioning of selection of fine wines and dinners and also donation pledges to support our home care services.

Charity Dinner at Iggy’s Restaurant

12 February 2014

Through the generosity of Iggy’s Restaurant Management, this event has been organized in the last four years. At the latest dinner, the celebrity chef was Chef Antoni Lui Aduriz, who flew in from Mugaritz, Spain. This was the second time he was invited to prepare dinner for the guests. A total of 58 guests were present to savor the dinner.

Peter Tay Monograph Launch

Peter Tay, well-known local interior designer, launched his monograph, a project catalogue showcasing his many works. The proceeds of the monograph were all donated to ABLE in aid of the charity work done in helping the physically challenged to live with dignity and to lead independent lives.

Charity Dinner at Iggy’s Restaurant

In support of ABLE’s annual Charity Dinner to raise funds and awareness for its beneficiaries, Melbourne-born Chef Hunter, delighted the 80 guests with a specially designed menu. At the dinner, an auction saw guests bidding generously in the name of charity, and approximately $190,000 was raised for ABLE.

Charity Drive by Uma Uma Ramen

Uma Uma Ramen – The original HAKATA Ramen celebrated their First Anniversary with ABLE through the ACT OF GIVING! For every bowl of ramen sold, Uma Uma Ramen pledged to donate $2.00 to ABLE to help the physically challenged. At the conclusion of the event, the amount raised was in excess of $8,500.

Charity Drive by Toast Box

26 April 2013

Home grown coffee chain, Toast Box joined hands with ABLE for the third year running. To kick-start this year’s fundraising activities, Toast Box organized a charity drive at Toast Box, Bugis Junction. Senior management members from both Toast Box and ABLE rolled up their sleeves and served customers for this good cause. The cast of Ah Boys To Men – Tosh Zhang, Noah Yap and Maxi Lim made a special appearance.

Iggy’s once again played host to ABLE’s annual charity dinner where guests were treated to a world-class spread by Chef Massimo Bottura of Francescana in Italy and Chef Yasuhiro Sasajima of II Ghiottone in Japan. Guests participated in a spontaneous auction which saw more than $100,000 being raised.

August to September 2012

For the second year, ABLE collaborated with local F&B chain Bread Talk for a fundraising drive. This year, Toast Box was selected from its stable of brands for the charity drive. The nation-wide event was held from August to September 2012 and was warmly received by the public who supported our cause with heartwarming generosity.

ABLE’s second fundraising event was done through the kind generosity of The Breadtalk Group and its customers. A percentage of the proceeds from one of their top-selling bread buns was donated to ABLE.

ABLE’s first fundraising event was held in March 2011. 40 benefactors dined on a multi-course dinner, and raised about $200,000. It was made possible by the generosity of Mr Ignatius Chan, proprietor of Iggy’s Restaurant, and Chef Andoni Luis Aduriz of Mugaritz, San Sebastian Spain.
