"We should have every right to mark the cross ourselves as a true citizen. With the stencil, I can feel exactly where to mark my cross. It gives me more confidence that I have marked my vote correctly and it is a good step forward (for a more inclusive society)." - Mr Edwin Khoo, head of the Braille production and library services centre at the Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped.

"We ask employers to continue to believe in their employees with disabilities and, if they have engaged persons with disabilities for freelance work, to reschedule rather than cancel the projects - as it is more important than ever for persons with disabilities to have an income and remain as independent as possible in a time when we try to go out only when necessary." - Dr Marissa Lee Medjeral-Mills, executive director at the Disabled People's Association (DPA)

In these work-from-home times, most of us are used to keeping glued to our screens while staying still in the same spot for hours on end. This may be great for getting things done - but definitely, not so great for our bodies.

ABLE is excited to host an inclusive mobility session on Zoom on Sunday, 19 July. Whether you’re 8 or 80, you’re welcome to join us in this one-of-a-kind Virtual Pilates event. Audrey D’Cotta, Founder of The Moving Body Group, will lead us through a 45-minute set of low-impact chair-based exercises. In celebration of our resilient ABLE community, ABLE’s client ambassador and stroke survivor, Mdm Soh, will also be on screen leading the exercises alongside Audrey.

Get your tickets at $20 each - the funds will help ABLE continue serving our beneficiaries. We look forward to seeing you there! http://bit.ly/able-virtualpilates
