What rehabilitation services are available at your centre?
ABLE Rehabilitation Centre offers Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy and Pilates under these programmes:

  1. Day Rehabilitation Programme
  2. Return to Work (RTW) Programme

Who is eligible for rehabilitation services?
Our Rehabilitation programmes are suitable for those:

  1. aged between 18 to 67
  2. has a physical disability
  3. is deemed fit for participation in a rehabilitation programme by a medical doctor
  4. (For Return-To-Work Programme) has intention and potential to return to employment

How do I register for rehabilitation services?

What are the estimated charges involved?
ABLE takes reference from Ministry of Health (MOH) per capita household means testing to determine the applicant’s eligibility for subsidies. Please contact our office for specific charges.

Financial assistance is available to those in financial need. Applicants will be required to provide supporting financial documents.

What is the payment mode?
We accept payment by cash, PayNow, NETS, credit card and cheque.

What are your opening hours?
Our rehabilitation centre operates from Monday to Friday, 0830 hrs to 1700 hrs, except public holidays. Therapy sessions typically start at 0900 hrs, with the last session of the day starting at 1600 hrs.

What attire should I wear for the therapy sessions?
Comfortable clothes and shoes should be worn as clients are required to participate in physical activity during therapy. T-shirts, pants and covered shoes are recommended.

How long are the rehabilitation sessions?
Rehabilitation sessions are normally up to 1 hour for therapy session. The actual duration will depend on the client’s tolerance and therapist’s assessment of the client’s needs.


What’s is your Return-to-work (RTW) programme about?
The Return-to-Work Programme is targeted at clients intending to return to employment following injury or after the onset of medical conditions.

Our unique programme model consists of the following elements:

  1. Physical rehabilitation
  2. Vocational rehabilitation
  3. Social support
  4. Training
  5. Return-to-Work coordination
  6. Employment support

The rehabilitation team works in partnership with clients in active goal-setting, rehabilitation, training and placement support.  Programme outcomes may include knowledge and skills acquisition and employment readiness.

What is the difference between the Day Rehabilitation Programme and Return-to-Work Programme?
The Return to Work Programme is targeted at applicants who intend to return to active employment following an injury or the onset of a medical condition. Applicants will receive rehabilitation aimed at improving their functional abilities to gear them towards suitable and sustained employment.

The Day Rehabilitation Programme is suitable for applicants who can benefit from rehabilitation to improve functional performance for daily living and community participation. Some may progress to the Return-to-Work Programme should they demonstrate potential and interest in returning to employment.

What respite services are available at your centre?
ABLE Respite Centre offers two types of respite services:

  • Centre Based Respite Service
    To provide respite for Caregivers through programmes conducted for their Care Recipients
  • Home Based Respite Service
    To provide short-term relief to family caregivers and care recipients in their daily routines at home

What are the types of programmes?
Centre based programmes include Music Therapy, Art Therapy, Arts & Craft, Befriending Services. Talks, enrichment workshops and interest groups.

Who is eligible for Respite care services?
Caregivers and their physically challenged care recipients who are aged 13 and above

What are your opening hours?
Our Respite centre operates from Monday to Friday, 0830 hrs to 1700 hrs, except public holidays.
Programmes are conducted between Mondays and Fridays from 10:30am to 4:30pm.

What are the estimated charges involved?
A nominal fee will be charged for Centre-Based Respite programmes.  The charge for Home Based Respite is $30 to $35 an hour, before subsidy based on Ministry of Health (MOH) per capita household means testing. There is a separate surcharge for weekends, public holidays and overnight respite care.

We accept payment by cash, PayNow, NETS, credit card and cheque.

Are there transport services to your centre?
Yes, ABLE provides wheelchair accessible transport services to our clients.

How much do I need to pay for transport?
The cost for transport to ABLE at Agape Village is at $40 on a per-trip basis / $80 for a return trip, and this would include one accompanying caregiver. There is a charge of $10 for the 2nd passenger. Subsidised transport rate is available via means testing and financial assistance is available on a case-by-case basis, as needed.

Can I hire ABLE vehicle for other needs?
Yes, ABLE’s transport is available to our clients for other needs, apart from ABLE’s services. These could include appointments for medical appointments, or workplace needs.  Such arrangement is on a per trip basis.  Please contact our office for enquiries on specific charges.

How do I apply for transport services?
To register for ABLE’s transport service, you will need to submit an application form to enquiries@able-sg.org

What kind of volunteers are you looking for?
We are looking for Potential Volunteers who:

  • Are at least 21 years old, preferably with working and life experiences as you will be working with persons with physical disabilities that requires some level of emotional maturity and empathy.
  • Can communicate comfortably in English. (Additional proficiency in Malay, Tamil, Mandarin or local dialects would be an advantage).
  • Possess pleasant disposition and maintain a positive outlook and attitude towards volunteering and learning.

Volunteer activities include skills based volunteer opportunities (e.g. as therapists) and general volunteering activities including befriending, conducting enrichment programmes and activities, support services and help in ad hoc events.
